Centre for Transformational Leadership (CTL)
The Centre for Transformational Leadership (CTL) is a Centre of Excellence established under the Department of MBA of Atria Institute of Technology, with the vision of nurturing future-ready leaders who possess the knowledge, mindset, and competencies required to lead organizations and society in an ever-changing global environment. The Centre serves as a platform for cultivating leadership excellence among students, faculty, industry professionals, and aspiring entrepreneurs through experiential learning, industry engagement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and leadership development initiatives.
CTL is committed to fostering a culture of innovation, ethical leadership, critical thinking, collaboration, and lifelong learning. By integrating academic learning with practical leadership experiences, the Centre bridges the gap between classroom education and industry expectations. The Centre adopts a phased approach beginning with student-centric leadership initiatives, followed by institution-wide collaborative programs, and eventually expanding into industry-oriented training, consultancy, and executive leadership development.
The major objectives of CTL include:
- To Cultivate a culture of leadership excellence among students.
- To Develop platforms for faculty and students to engage with industry leaders, and design leadership programs that strengthen academia-industry collaboration.
- To Establish the Department of MBA as a recognized hub for thought leadership and best practices.
Expected Outcomes
- Building brand awareness and reputation of the institute among corporate houses, along with enhanced industry-academia interface and exposure.

Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3
Phase 1: Setting Leadership Culture Foundation
Duration: 6 months
- Expert Talks & Guest Lectures: Host industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and alumni to provide talks on leadership challenges and practices.
- Leadership Clinics: Group sessions that enable interaction between the faculty and industry captains on importance of communication, decision-making, and team management.
- Student-Led Forums: Promote clubs to conduct debates, role-plays, and leadership challenges.
- Book Review Sessions: Debate on leadership books.
Phase 2: Increasing the Visibility of the CTL and Facilitating Cross-Learning Across Disciplines
Duration: 6 months after completion of Phase 1
- Institutional Leadership Conclave: Invite several departments to take part in an event consisting of one-day panel discussions, student competitions, and keynote addresses.
- Workshops on Soft Skills & Team Building: Hands-on activities institution-wide.
- Leadership Film Screenings & Discussions: Screen films/documentaries with powerful leadership messages, followed by reflection sessions.
Phase 3: Industry-Academia Collaboration
Duration: After One Year on completion of Phase 1 and Phase 2
- Corporate Leadership Bootcamps: Brief, immersive programs designed for professionals in the industry (communication, strategic leadership, design thinking).
- Customized Training Programs: One-on-one training for companies on team dynamics, change management, conflict resolution.
- Networking Events: Encourage industry-academia collaborations and alumni networks.
Through expert talks, workshops, leadership clinics, student forums, movie screenings, competitions, and industry collaborations, CTL seeks to create meaningful learning experiences that empower participants to become confident, responsible, and socially conscious leaders capable of driving sustainable organizational and societal transformation.
Activities Conducted
Since its inception, the Centre for Transformational Leadership has successfully organized a series of leadership-oriented initiatives aimed at developing communication skills, critical thinking, resilience, innovation, teamwork, and professional leadership competencies among students.
Leadership Movie Screening – The Leader Within: Leadership, Resilience and Personal Growth
Date: 19 June 2026
As an innovative experiential learning initiative, CTL organized an inspirational movie screening followed by a reflective discussion session. The activity enabled students to analyze leadership behaviours, resilience under challenging situations, emotional intelligence, and ethical decision-making demonstrated by the characters. Post-screening reflections and interactive discussions encouraged students to relate cinematic experiences to real-world leadership situations, promoting self-awareness and personal growth.



Thought Leadership Talk – From Knowledge to Influence: Thought Leadership for Future Leaders
Date: 5 May 2026
The Centre organized an expert talk featuring distinguished industry leaders including Mr. Ronald Olivera, Mr. Joseph Rasquinha, and Mr. Shoaib Ahmed. The session introduced students to the concept of thought leadership, leadership communication, creativity, innovation, and professional influence. Interactive QR-based activities, live polling, discussions, and real-world case examples enabled participants to develop confidence, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities required for future leadership roles. The programme successfully connected academic learning with practical industry expectations while inspiring students to become proactive and influential professionals.



Workshop on Skills for 5G/6G & AI Era (Collaborative Initiative)
Date: 28 April 2026
In collaboration with the 6G Centre of Excellence and the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, CTL co-organized a technical workshop on emerging technologies in 5G, 6G, Artificial Intelligence, Open RAN, cloud-native networking, and edge computing. The workshop demonstrated CTL's interdisciplinary approach by integrating leadership development with technological advancements and preparing students to lead innovation in Industry 4.0 environments.


Leadership Development Programme – The Cornerstones of Student Leadership
Date: 28 March 2026
A dedicated leadership development programme was conducted for institutional student club coordinators focusing on the fundamental attributes of effective leadership. The programme emphasized communication, teamwork, decision-making, resilience, responsibility, and collaborative problem-solving through interactive activities and practical discussions. Students gained greater clarity regarding their leadership responsibilities and enhanced their confidence in managing institutional initiatives effectively.
